7^th & 8^th graders will have P.E. outside. 6^th graders will have P.E. in gym today.

We still have yearbooks left. Make sure to purchase yours in the office for $35.00.

We will be having a shortened bell scheduled today. We will have 1^st – 4^th hour, 6^th -8^th hour, then go to lunch. After lunch all students will return to 8^th our classes and wait to be dismissed to the awards assembly. 2^nd chance breakfast will be after 1^st hour. There are extra bell schedules printed on purple paper in the office.

Thank you to everyone who helped and donated to our jar fundraiser. The results of the top four staff members who will be getting pied in the face will be announced at the assembly today. Students who have had perfect attendance for the second semester will get the opportunity to pie the staff in the face.

Today, June 3, we will be hosting a competition, whoever is best dresses up in Lumberjack gear will get the chance to win gift cards and other prizes!

Sign-ups for cheerleading are in the office. If students are interested, they need to first read the flyer in the information station from coach Sasha and then sign-up in the office after reading through the details.

7th & 8^th grade boys interested in playing SMMS football next year, sign-ups are now in the office.

There will be a high school signing activity today during lunch. There will SMHS coaches posted up in the lunchroom to talk to incoming 9^th graders about sports next year.

8^th grade girls interested in playing SMHS girls soccer next year, sign-ups are now in the office.

Reminders:

· 8^th graders: don’t forget to take your 8^th grade posters home with you; any posters left at the MS will be discarded

· All students remember to take all belongings out of your locker and home today

· All items left in lockers will be discarded

Today’s second chance breakfast is bar mini cinni roll, fresh fruit, and milk.

Today’s lunch is cheese pizza, sunflower seeds, side salad, baby carrots, diced peaches, and milk!!

Happy birthday to all our summer birthday people!

Have a wonderful summer; we’ll be thinking of you. 6^th & 7^th graders we’ll see you in the fall. 8th graders remember you can always come back to say hello.

SMMS Helpful Tips

Our Lost and Found items will be taken away and donated to the Senior Center at the end of every month
If students are riding a different bus after school, all bus requests must be to the Middle School Office by 1:00 that day
If your student is absent from school, please call the office to excuse their absence
You can also email drogers@sd41.org, or send a note with your student when they return to school
